[Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs] Vina residents will have safer and cleaner water as a result of a $115,850 grant announced by Gov. Robert Bentley. The funds from the Appalachian Regional Commission will enable the town to provide exterior and interior renovations to the two water storage tanks that serve residents of the community. Inspections indicated the work was necessary, but the town has been financially unable to do the renovations because of limited resources.
