[Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs] An Alabama program has been awarded $148,862 to continue helping
startup companies and entrepreneurs succeed and create jobs for Alabamians, Gov. Kay Ivey announced. The grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission will support the Alabama Launchpad, a program directed by the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama Foundation. The program offers entrepreneurs an opportunity through a competitive process to be awarded money to develop their business. This grant is directed at the Launchpad program in the counties of Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan.
