Gov. Ivey awards grant to ALEA for crime stat training

[Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs] A $51,353 grant awarded by Gov. Kay Ivey to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will help upgrade a national crime reporting program and train other law enforcement agencies on the new method. ALEA will develop a training curriculum to help police departments, sheriff’s offices and other state law enforcement agencies convert to the new criminal statistical program required by the Federal Bureau of Investigation by January 2021.
